Give the Green Mountain the time it deserves. Day one follows our classic route through Nizwa Fort and souq before climbing to the Saiq Plateau, where you check in to a mountain hotel and watch the sunset paint the canyon. Day two begins with a sunrise walk along the village trail from Al Aqr to Al Ayn, breakfast with a view, and a visit to a rosewater distillery (in season) or the Wadi Bani Habib walnut groves. On the way down we stop at Birkat Al Mouz and the 400-year-old Bait Al Redaidah castle before returning to Muscat in the afternoon.
