Three days is enough to see why travellers fall for Oman. We start in the capital with the Grand Mosque and Mutrah, then head inland to Nizwa and the cool heights of Jabal Akhdar for the first night. Day two crosses to the Sharqiya region: a swim at Wadi Bani Khalid, then dune driving into Wahiba Sands for sunset, dinner and a night in a comfortable desert camp under a sky full of stars. On the final day we follow the coast back north via the dhow yards of Sur, Wadi Shab (optional hike and swim) and the Bimmah Sinkhole before returning to Muscat.
